About Nyazura Adventist High School

Established in 1966, Nyazura Adventist High School is a prestigious educational institution is situated about ten kilometers from Nyazura town, in Makoni district of Manicaland (also known as Mashonaland) province of Zimbabwe. Rooted in the Seventh-day Adventist tradition, our school provides a holistic education that nurtures spiritual, intellectual, physical, and social growth.

Our History

1910

Nyazura Mission was founded by Melvin G. Sturdevant, establishing the foundation for Adventist education in the region.

1966

The secondary school was introduced, marking the beginning of formal high school education at Nyazura.

1979

The secondary school reopened after the liberation war, with significant infrastructural developments.

1994

The school was granted A-level status and renamed Nyazura Adventist High School, offering advanced subjects in arts, commerce, and sciences.

2011

Nyazura celebrated its centenary anniversary, recognizing 100 years of Adventist education in Zimbabwe.
